Dr. Blalock

A Lifetime of Dental Dedication in Augusta

Dr. John S. Blalock, DMD, EDS, hails from Augusta, GA, born at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He completed high school at Richmond Academy and graduated from Lees-McRae College in North Carolina. Dr. Blalock earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1997.

Following private practice, Dr. Blalock became a full professor at the Dental College of Georgia, dedicating 17 years to dental education. During this time, he earned his Educational Leadership Specialist Degree (EdS.) from Augusta State University. Dr. Blalock's commitment to education extended to research, publications, and service on dental committees.

In 2017, Dr. Blalock returned to private practice with a renewed emphasis on comprehensive dental care, prioritizing individualized care for longevity and aesthetics. Outside of his work, he enjoys quality time with his two boys and going outdoors.
